Helical piles, also known as screw piles, are built from steel shafts with helical flights (helix/helices) of various sizes to suit the site-specific ground conditions.
Continuous flight auger (CFA) piles are a bored, cast-in-place replacement pile. They are drilled and concreted in one continuous operation — much faster than other piles of this type. Reinforcement is placed into the wet concrete after casting, so the pile resists the full range of structural loading. Ideal for houses, pools and buildings.
A pin pile is a small-diameter deep foundation element — a steel tube or bar. It uses the same equipment as a helical pile, but is driven into the ground by percussion, with a straight steel shaft and no helices. It transfers a structure's load down to firm strata — widely used in hard-to-access spaces and foundation repairs.
Long, slim sections — usually steel, but also available in other metals or PVC (vinyl) — driven into the ground and connected through interlocking side joints to form a continuous retaining wall. They hold back earth and water in excavations, docks and cofferdams.
